The June 2015 edition of the Chicago Kent Law Review mentioned Kimberly’s case and the many problems with her conviction. Read that except here.
With the high numbers of DNA exonerations it was revealed that many falsely confessed to the crime which they did not commit. The American Psychological Association did a study on how police often coerce and induce these false confessions. Read that study here. We believe Kimberly’s false confession was a compliant false confession as outlined in their study.
