We are presenting two cards from Brent Poole given to Kimberly Renee Poole sometime in early May 1998
We are unsure yet of the exact date and are working on (and have been working on) a solid factual timeline of these events. Immediately leading up to these two cards was when Kimberly Renee Poole had only briefly moved out taking 2 year old Katie with her. As we have presented on this site, Kimberly only moved out and into John Boyd Frazier’s home as a temporary living solution. Indeed, she kept most of her furniture and household items in a storage unit during this time. Kimberly had always hoped that Brent would come to realize the problems within the marriage and by moving out Brent would be forced to address the problems, to which he does.
Sometime in early May 1998, during the roughly one week Kimberly was temporarily living elsewhere, Brent had Kimberly come over to his parent’s house (during this time Brent had mostly stayed at his parent’s house, unwilling to stay at their home now empty of Kimberly and Katie). It was during this meetup that Brent gave Kimberly a bouquet of roses and these two cards apologizing. This was a first step in saving the marriage and of reconciliation. In fact these two cards meant the world to Kimberly and she stayed the night that night with Brent. Of note is that Brent admits to and apologizes for his behavior writing, “It wasn’t me. It was someone else,” and that Brent acknowledges that Katie would go with her mom writing, “I don’t want to loose you two.” This would seem to contradict the prosecution’s claims for motive (and the prosecution’s motives for Kimberly now keep changing in light of the information presented on our advocacy site)- that Kimberly did it because she was fearful of losing Katie (the only time Kimberly was ever threatened with taking Katie away from her was during the June 13th interrogations). This would also seem to contradict recent claims by Dee Poole (Brent’s sister) on tabloid TV crime programs that Brent would have given up on the marriage and left Kimberly.
These two cards were never presented at her trial to help her defense. Both Kimberly and Brent agreed to work things out and save the marriage. Crystal Zimmerman, a friend of Kimberly, backs up this claim that both were trying to reconcile their marriage when the Myrtle Beach police interviewed Crystal in early 1999. It was during this interview with Crystal Zimmerman that the police fed her lies to sow seeds of doubt when confronted with someone who backed up Kimberly’s claims. We will also present that Myrtle Beach police interview with Crystal Zimmerman at a later time. Other friends of both Kimberly and Brent also made supporting statements to the police about their reunion.
