The alternate suspect, bartender Bruce, initially lied about his alibi the night of the murder

The detectives said Bruce was not a suspect because his friend said he was with him. However, before he claimed that alibi (anchored to the same friend who drove a white van that other witnesses saw near the crime scene), Bruce at first claimed he was at work that night.

John Frazier’s family hired a private investigator who spoke with Bruce. The alibi that Bruce initially gives was that he was at work. The private investigator then went to Bruce’s workplace to check records and the personnel manager there told the investigator that Bruce had already talked to her and told her to tell the investigator that he was working when he was not.

It’s after this initial alibi falls through that the alternate suspect, bartender Bruce, chooses his friend to vouch for him that night. Amazingly, or rather showing clearly inept detectives and a shoddy, tunnel-vision investigation, the detectives are OK with this. Did the detectives check that friend’s alibi? If that friend also owned a white van and witnesses saw a white van near the crime scene then wouldn’t that clue the detectives in to do an investigation into BOTH?

Bruce clearly goes to great lengths to lie about where he was the night of the murder. We have uncovered new evidence that Bruce was criminally stalking Kimberly Renee Poole for at least 6 months prior. And the original suspect composite strongly resembles bartender Bruce.

It should be noted that the defense were prohibited at trial from offering an alternate suspect by sexist judge Cottingham. It should be further noted that the alternate suspect, bartender Bruce, changed his appearance immediately after the murder (shaved and cut his hair shorter).
